There are bright aromas of dark cherry, plum and blackcurrant along with leather tobacco and vanilla on the palate. The tannins are supple and the finish is full.

Our Merlot is 100% estate grown. It was handpicked and destemmed into 1 ton fermenters, where it as cold soaked for five days, before fermentation was allowed to begin. The grapes were on skins for approximately three weeks before being pressed off and put into barrel. This wine was aged in barrel for 12 months, in French Oak, with a small percentage of American Oak for added complexity.
